NEWA With the support of the European Union (EU), NEWA in partnership with Oxfam-GB is conducting an Action Research project

NEWA with the support of the European Union (EU), NEWA in partnership with Oxfam-GB is conducting an Action Research project with the topic “Determining Ethiopian women’s status and priorities”.
NEWA’s Executive Directress Mrs. Saba Gebremedhin welcomed the participants and opened the session. She noted that the aim of establishing the advisory panel is to ensure better coordination and active engagement of stakeholders in the national survey.
The advisory panel will ensure not only ownership of the findings but it will promote and follow-up advocacy actions initiated for government and donor policy actions to redress the asks, demands of women in Ethiopia during and post-conflict contexts.
NEWA will conduct the survey with the financial support of the European Union.
The advisory panel consists of 22 stakeholders from MoWSA, MoF, MoPC, CSS, CSOs, and Oxfam.
