Network of Ethiopian Women’s Associations, in collaboration with Oxfam In Ethiopia, held a consultation workshop The Network of Ethiopian Women’s Associations, in Partnership with Terre des Hommes Netherlands, held a press release on the implementation of the “she leads” project and future plans. The “she leads” project is being implemented by the Terre des Hommes Netherlands and other international organizations in Ethiopia, in collaboration with other civil society organizations. Network of Ethiopian Women’s Associations is implementing the project in partnership with two member organizations. The purpose of She Leads project is to increase the participation of girls and young women in decision-making and to ensure that gender norms have a lasting impact on formal and informal institutions. The press release elaborated on the global and national context of the project and what the project has achieved in its initial implementation and what it plans to do through its intervention period. Terre des Hommes Nederland Femnet Secretariat Plan International Ethiopia Plan International Canada Newa Ethiopia  የኢትዮጵያ ሴቶች ማኅበራት ቅንጅት ከTerre des Hommes Netherlands ጋር በመተባበር “በትመራለች/she leads” ፕሮጀክት ትግበራ እና ቀጣይ እቅዶች ላይ ጋዜጣዊ መግለጫ ሰጥተዋል፡፡“በትመራለች/she leads” ፕሮጀክት በኢትዮጵያ Terre des Hommes Netherlands ጥምረቱን በማስተባበር፣ እንዲሁም ከሌሎች ሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች ጋር በመተባበር በመተግበር ላይ የሚገኝ ሲሆን የኢትዮጵያ ሴቶች ማኅበራት ቅንጅት ከሁለት አባላት ድርጅቶች ጋር በጋራ በመሆን በመተግበር ላይ ይገኛሉ። የ”ትመራለች/She Leads” ፕሮጀክት አላማ ሴት ልጆች እና ወጣት ሴቶች በውሳኔ አሰጣጥ ላይ ያላቸውን ተሳትፎ ማሳደግ እንዲሁም የስርዓተ-ፆታ ደንቦችን በመደበኛ እና መደበኛ ባልሆኑ ተቋማት ላይ ቀጣይነት ያለው ተጽእኖ እንዲኖራቸው ማድረግ ነው፡፡ በጋዜጣዊ መግለጫው ላይ የፕሮጀክቱ አለም አቀፍ እና ሃገር አቀፍ ይዘት ምን ይመስላል በሚለው ላይ ሰፊ ማብራሪያ የተሰጠበት ሲሆን ፕሮጀክቱ በጅምር ትግበራው ምን ምን ስኬቶችን አከናውኗል በቀጣይስ ምን ስራዎችን የማከናወን እቅድ አለው የሚለው ተብራርቷል፡፡

Launching Ceremony of the Ethiopian gender development Index NEWA, in partnership with MOWSA has produced and officially launched the first Ethiopian gender development use and dissemination Launching Ceremony of the Ethiopian gender development IndexNEWA, in partnership with MOWSA has produced and officially launched the first Ethiopian gender development use and dissemination. The EGDI is a important index that is used to measure the progress and status of gender development, to show the level and standard of Ethiopia in terms of gender equality, and to identify and indicate the gender gaps in Ethiopia. It also provides an internationally standardized gender development report of Ethiopia that can be presented to development partners/donors, and to propose relevant policy recommendations and programme priorities.
