A 16 days of Activism campaign closing event with a theme “Revisiting movements against GBV in Ethiopia” was organized by NEWA in collaboration with UN Women Ethiopia Network of Ethiopian Women Association (NEWA) in collaboration with UN Women Ethiopia organized a 16 days of Activism campaign closing event with a theme “Revisiting movements against GBV in Ethiopia”. The event brought together past and present Women’s rights defenders. It has also served as a platform for an intergenerational dialogue and experience-sharing forum. The event was concluded with appreciating everyone’s contribution towards ending violence against women and girls

NEWA in collaboration with the Malala Fund organized a two-day training on human right As part of the project activity, the Networks of Ethiopian Women’s Associations (NEWA) in collaboration with the Malala Fund organized a two-day training on human right in international, regional and national context focusing on gender equality and women right for girls from different schools in Hawassa. The main purpose of the training was to enhance the girl’s to be aware & stand for their right and magnify their voice. The workshop was held at Central Hotel, Hawassa.
