NEWA in partnership with USAID organized a two-day Consultative meeting

Network of Ethiopian Women Association in partnership with USAID organized a two-day Consultative meeting with the Ethiopian Women Peace Builders Steering Committee.

Following her opening speech, NEWA’s Executive Directress Mrs. Saba Gebremedhin briefs a presentation about the “Buna Le Selam” project and action plan. She noted that since women represent more than half of the nation’s population; we should struggle for a meaningful representation of women in every peace-building activity. The main objective of the project is to improve women’s participation in the Ethiopian peace-building process and create a safe space for women.
After the presentation, discussions, and opinions will be forwarded from the steering committee who came from different regions.
