NEWA in partnership with Oxfam Ethiopia organized a half-day advocacy workshop on the gender-responsive budgeting process and its learnings.

Network of Ethiopian Women’s Associations is implementing a project entitled “WE-CARE phase IV addressing unpaid care and domestic work as a key barrier for gender equality”.

As part of the project, NEWA in partnership with Oxfam Ethiopia organized a half-day advocacy workshop on gender responsive budgeting process and its learnings. The workshop was focused on addressing how unpaid care and domestic work agendas better coordinate with government on Gender Responsive Budgeting (GRB) process at a national level. Apart from this, the workshop encouraged networking and identified the space among the government and CSO’s. The workshop was held at Vibes Hotel, Addis Ababa on 19 July 2023.
