Network of Ethiopian Women’s Associations, in collaboration with Oxfam In Ethiopia, held a consultation workshop Network of Ethiopian Women’s Associations, in collaboration with Oxfam In Ethiopia, held a consultation workshop with directors of the Gender and Planning Directorate of various government organizations on Gender Budgeting and Unpaid Care and Domestic Works. Directors of the Gender and Planning departments from various stakeholders and government organizations, discussed in detail gender budgeting and its impact on unpaid care and domestic work as well as the current gender budget allocation, gaps and solutions. One of the main points of the discussion was the non-inclusion of unpaid domestic work in the national economy and the exclusion of women, from the productive works which can be input for the macro-economy.  የኢትዮጵያ ሴቶች ማኅበራት ቅንጅት ከኦክስፋም ኢትዮጵያ ጋር በመተባበር በስርዓተ ፆታ በጀት አያያዝ ላይ እንዲሁም የበጀት አያያዝ በማይከፈልባቸው የቤት ውስጥ ስራዎች እና እንክብካቤዎች ላይ ያለው ተፅዕኖ በተመለከተ ከተለያዩ የመንግስት ተቋማት ከተውጣጡ የስርዓተ-ፆታ እና እቅድ ዳይሬክቶሬት ዳይሬክተሮች ጋር የመወያያ መድረክ አካሄዱ፡፡በውይይት መድረኩ ላይ ከተለያዩ ባለድርሻ እና በበጀት አያያዝ ላይ ከፍተኛ ድርሻ ካላቸው መንግስታዊ ተቋማት የተውጣጡ የስርዓተ ፆታ እና ዕቅድ ክፍሎች ኃላፊዎች ተገኝተው የማይከፈልባቸው የቤት ውስጥ ስራን እንዲሁም በስርዓተ-ፆታ በጀት አመዳደብ ላይ አሁን ያለበትን ሁኔታ፣ ያሉትን ክፍተቶች እና ክፍተቶችን ለመሙላት መደረግ ስላለባቸው ጉዳዮች በዝርዝር ተወያይተዋል፡፡ የማይከፈልባቸው የቤት ውስጥ ስራዎች በሃገር አቀፍ ደረጃ ባለው ኢኮኖሚ ምጣኔ ላይ አለመካተታቸው እና በማይከፈልባቸው ስራዎች ምክንያት በተለይም ሴቶች ከትርፋማው የኢኮኖሚ ስርአት እየተገለሉ መሆኑ የውይይት መድረኩ አንዱ ዋና ነጥብ ነበር፡፡

Network of Ethiopian Women’s Associations, in collaboration with Oxfam In Ethiopia, held a consultation workshop Network of Ethiopian Women’s Associations In partnership with Terre des Hommes Netherlands held a Sensitization workshop on the findings of baseline survey on the level of girls and young women involvement in all sectors. The “she leads” project task force and other experts give comments and recommendation on the baseline survey and also put a way forward on what can be done by she leads project on the year 2020. The baseline survey aim to asses the level of holistic participation and decision making of girls and young women focusing on three regions which is Amhara, Oromia and Adiss Ababa city administration. Terre des Hommes Nederland Femnet Secretariat Plan International Ethiopia Plan International Canada Newa Ethiopia NewMillennium WomenEmp Organ  የኢትዮጵያ ሴቶች ማኅበራት ቅንጅት ከTerre des Hommes Netherlands ጋር መተባበር ያሰራውን የመነሻ ዳሰሳ ጥናት የማስተዋወቂያ መድረክ ተካሄደ፡፡ በመድረኩ ላይ ከተለያዩ የሲቪል ማኅበራት እና የሚመለከታቸው የመንግስት ተቋማት የተውጣጡ የትመራለች ፕሮጀክት የትግበራ ቡድን አባላት በመነሻ ጥናቱ ላይ ያላቸውን ሃሳብ እና አስተያየት የሰጡበት ሲሆን በትግበራ ቡድኑም ጥናቱን መሰረት በማድረግ በቀጣዩ የ 2020 ዓመት ምን መሰራት እንዳለበት ቀጣይ አቅጣጫ አስቀምጠዋል፡፡ የመነሻ ጥናቱ የሴት ልጆችን እና የወጣት ሴቶችን ሁለንተናዊ ተሳትፎ እና ውሳኔ ሰጭነት ሚና ያለበትን ደረጃ ለማጥናት ያለመ ሲሆን ጥናቱ በዋናነት በኦሮሚያ፣ በአማራ ክልሎች እንዲሁም በአዲስ አበባ ከተማ አስተዳደር ላይ ትኩረት አድርጎ ተሰርቷል፡፡

Network of Ethiopian Women’s Associations, in collaboration with Oxfam In Ethiopia, held a consultation workshop The Network of Ethiopian Women’s Associations, in Partnership with Terre des Hommes Netherlands, held a press release on the implementation of the “she leads” project and future plans. The “she leads” project is being implemented by the Terre des Hommes Netherlands and other international organizations in Ethiopia, in collaboration with other civil society organizations. Network of Ethiopian Women’s Associations is implementing the project in partnership with two member organizations. The purpose of She Leads project is to increase the participation of girls and young women in decision-making and to ensure that gender norms have a lasting impact on formal and informal institutions. The press release elaborated on the global and national context of the project and what the project has achieved in its initial implementation and what it plans to do through its intervention period. Terre des Hommes Nederland Femnet Secretariat Plan International Ethiopia Plan International Canada Newa Ethiopia  የኢትዮጵያ ሴቶች ማኅበራት ቅንጅት ከTerre des Hommes Netherlands ጋር በመተባበር “በትመራለች/she leads” ፕሮጀክት ትግበራ እና ቀጣይ እቅዶች ላይ ጋዜጣዊ መግለጫ ሰጥተዋል፡፡“በትመራለች/she leads” ፕሮጀክት በኢትዮጵያ Terre des Hommes Netherlands ጥምረቱን በማስተባበር፣ እንዲሁም ከሌሎች ሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች ጋር በመተባበር በመተግበር ላይ የሚገኝ ሲሆን የኢትዮጵያ ሴቶች ማኅበራት ቅንጅት ከሁለት አባላት ድርጅቶች ጋር በጋራ በመሆን በመተግበር ላይ ይገኛሉ። የ”ትመራለች/She Leads” ፕሮጀክት አላማ ሴት ልጆች እና ወጣት ሴቶች በውሳኔ አሰጣጥ ላይ ያላቸውን ተሳትፎ ማሳደግ እንዲሁም የስርዓተ-ፆታ ደንቦችን በመደበኛ እና መደበኛ ባልሆኑ ተቋማት ላይ ቀጣይነት ያለው ተጽእኖ እንዲኖራቸው ማድረግ ነው፡፡ በጋዜጣዊ መግለጫው ላይ የፕሮጀክቱ አለም አቀፍ እና ሃገር አቀፍ ይዘት ምን ይመስላል በሚለው ላይ ሰፊ ማብራሪያ የተሰጠበት ሲሆን ፕሮጀክቱ በጅምር ትግበራው ምን ምን ስኬቶችን አከናውኗል በቀጣይስ ምን ስራዎችን የማከናወን እቅድ አለው የሚለው ተብራርቷል፡፡

The EGDI is a important index that is used to measure the progress and status of gender development, to show the level and standard of Ethiopia in terms of gender equality, and to identify and indicate the gender gaps in Ethiopia. It also provides an internationally standardized gender development report of Ethiopia that can be presented to development partners/donors, and to propose relevant policy recommendations and programme priorities.
