NEWA in partnership with the Malala Fund organized a two days training for establishing national girls’ peace forum

Network of Ethiopian Women’s Associations (NEWA) is implementing a project entitled “Girls Led Peace Initiative” with the Ethiopian Education Champion (ECN) under the Joint Action Girls (JAG). As part of the project activity, the Networks of Ethiopian Women’s Associations in partnership with the Malala Fund organized a two days training for establishing national girls’ peace forum. The main goal of the initiative is to incubate a girl-led peace initiative that enables Girls to have a voice, representation and leadership in the national peacebuilding process. In her welcoming speech, NEWA’s Executive Directress Mrs. Saba Gebremedhin noted that the aim of the establishment is to ensure a better coordination and active engagement of stakeholders in the national girls’ peace forum. Delegated of Girl’s from nine regions and two city administrations attended in the establishment of the peace forum.

NEWA in partnership with UN WOMEN conducted training on transformative leadership and decision-making skills for women leaders in civil society organizations Network of Ethiopian Women’s Associations (NEWA) in partnership with UN WOMEN in Ethiopia is conducting a training on transformative leadership and decision-making skills for women leaders in civil society organizations. The main goal of this training is to enhance the capacity of women leaders in CSO become influential and transformational leaders with improved abilities to effectively tackle challenges including gender inequality and injustice. It will also create networking opportunities and enhance collaborations among women leaders of different CSOs. The training will continue for two days in Adama town.
